monkey writer bio
It seems like yesterday, my father Ray a Contractor who built homes for very wealthy people in the Oakland Hills- (thats what mom called them!) answered my request to build a bookshelf. There in the corner of my room he built a floor to ceiling bookshelf during the summer of my 3rd grade.
I had a vast collection of children's books. I alphabetized them created a library list. In each book I glued a manila rectangle and inserted a strip of ruled paper inside each book. My mother purchased an date stamp and pad. I officially owned my own library.
My friends in the neighborhood were welcome to check out as many books as they liked, as long as they were back by the 'due date'.
From thats moment in my life, the love for reading, illustration and story telling has ever increased.
I write, mostly for emotional release. I read to gain greater knowledge and to go to places monetary means will not allow me to go. I tell stories to pass-on the Legacy left to me by my Mentor my Mother.
I hope she looks down on me with that twinkle in her eye when she began a story...'A long time ago...' - Cynthia Prusso
Hi! After erm, 2 years, I am back and writing has improved so much, I have to say, I was looking at my older snippets and I'm so embarrassed. =^^= They're terrible.
Hello there Cynthia! I have been very much looking forward to you being online again. We've made some changes I don't think you've had a chance to see. We have a live chat section and this Monkey Mail! Anyway, I am very eager to see you get your seed and plant a tree. I have been hoping you and Steve and Simon would continue on your Kitsune's box story.
I am a very big fan of this bio you've written. It is so very sincere and beautiful. I am sure you are passing along your love of stories to your own children, which makes this all the more poignant.
I also really enjoyed some other monkey's bios: larry O's; and some woman I can't find now, she said something like 'we are not all born monkeys...'
You be well dear Cynthia in this next phase of your life...
