monkey writer bio
I enjoy writing both fiction and non-fiction. My favourite colour is yellow because it is such a happy thing. I love my island. I love Monet because he painted in yellow. My curiosity is boundless, insatiable and wide ranging. I think I am going to enjoy adding to this site and learning from it too.

I have found a new joy because of this site - learning how to write poetry.

Well, then, you popped in, destroyed the site with your amazing writing, then popped out. Geez. Was being so extraordinary not good enough for you? ;) Well, I had fun on the site, got off, Bright Yellow swept through, and I got back on. It's a pity you left. I would have liked to meet you. Bless you and Best Wishes! ~Kole

Hey hey :) Meh, I like the cold - definitely more 'me friendly' than the heat. Ima having trouble with this site...bloody writer's block, I believe it's called. Congrats on your tree (I'll write on it when I get a decent idea in ma head), until then... ~waves~ Oh yeah, PS: Have a great Australia Day today ;D

Hey Yellow! I have to admit, I've missed you. Thanks for the congrats; I hope all is well so far in your 2009. :)

I hope you weren't offended by me putting you in 'death of 1000000monkeys.com'. I like to exaggerate the 'what if' concept. I don't know if you read what i wrote off my 'what if Pangaea still existed' snippet about 'ultra squid' but thats an example of what i do.

2:29AM EST   Jan 12th, 2009 — by R.M. Bray
Hey Yellow, I really enjoy writing on your 'Choices...' tree. I think it is was a great idea for a tree and it kind of inspired me for what my tree is going to be. I look forward to writing with you more.

3:14PM EST   Dec 31st, 2008 — by Kate
Well I think most of the ideas here are in left field :) so it's not such a change. I particularly enjoyed your pregnant man craves plastic snippet, nice work. :) Can't wait to read more.

I am extremely late in congradulating you on your first seed and tree, but congrats anyway. :) And what great reception you're getting on it! Great work.

Just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE your new tree. It's such a cool idea, and I'm really excited to see where it goes.

2:28AM EST   Dec 27th, 2008 — by Lucky Clover
I love the snippets u write! oh, and please do plant the next seed... when you get the ideas. <3

3:04PM EST   Dec 24th, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Congrats on your first seed!!! :)

12:14PM EST   Dec 23rd, 2008 — by Harrison Bradlow
You've got nothing to worry about regarding your tree being liked. Your most successful snippets are the ones where you let yourself show your natural creativity. The advice I keep getting over and over on how to improve my own writing is to put more of myself into it. I think that's what makes the best writing, and I think the same goes for you. So my advice for your first seed is just be honest with it and don't worry if people like it. The more you try to please others, the less creative or original your seed will become.

12:54PM EST   Dec 22nd, 2008 — by Harrison Bradlow
Getting close there Yellow! Looking forward to your tree; I'm sure it will be something different.

10:24AM EST   Dec 15th, 2008 — by Harrison Bradlow
Hi Yellow. I'm really enjoying our back-and-forth comments on your recent snippet. I'm especially appreciating all I learn about Australian culture and history. I think the key to Continuum will be integrating real history with the fictional world, which you do very well. If my comments get too extensive, by the way, feel free to tell me and I'll cut them down a bit. Thanks!

6:51PM EST   Dec 7th, 2008 — by Jean F. Kirkus
Ok, I was just a little confused with the one that had a 'parrot that reflected my mood' or something like that. Thanks.

12:28PM EST   Dec 6th, 2008 — by Jean F. Kirkus
Ok, so Madison and Gorlin were really acting until they kissed and she slapped him? And by your take on the snippets, they are actually acting out a scene in a movie? I think I get it. I very much enjoy your works, Yellow.

Ima tassie...(geographical location withheld) ;D Meh, the Blues????? Nah, EAGLES!!! Duh. Tanx for the kind comment on my tree. ~waves~

8:32PM EST   Dec 2nd, 2008 — by Chris Sadler
Yeah, I remember that one. I figured it HAD to be a family member, but (just for ha-ha's) thought it might be funny if the pictures were actually completely random people... Anyway, keep writing. This site is the perfect way to practice and hone your craft/hobby/distraction. Plus, we Monkeys will offer our thoughts and critiques.

9:03AM EST   Dec 2nd, 2008 — by Harrison Bradlow
No need to apologize at all! I was definitely not offended. I actually found it to be a really interesting contrast between our respective cultures. You really don't have to worry about your comments to me. Thanks for the concern, though, I appreciate that.

I'm late, as usual, but welcome to the site!

10:43AM EST   Nov 12th, 2008 — by Harrison Bradlow
I'm glad to hear you feel that way. One of the best ways to improve your writing is to get honest feedback from readers. You've only been here a couple days, but you'll find that nearly everybody on this site has only the best intentions. Nobody ever means anything to be hurtful, only helpful, so if you are open to constructive criticism, you'll doubtless get it. :)

6:25PM EST   Nov 10th, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Greetings. :)
