monkey writer bio
Hi all!

My name is Harrison, and I love to write! I've been an amateur writer for some time now, putting to paper more or less whatever story ideas come into my mind. Some of them I've expanded to longer lengths, others I have not yet gotten to. Though I haven't published anything yet, I look forward to doing so!

This site is a great way to get feedback, make friends, and generate new ideas. Piggybacking is a big part of group brainstorming.

If anybody has any other questions, feel free to send me some monkey-mail!

Follow me @Harrison314 :)

I''m sure that Chris would know. Ask him! And yea!

6:06AM EST   Nov 10th, 2009 — by ElizabethP
Thanks Harrison. I really look forward to reading it. It'll give me something to do instead of seeming like a nosey parker on other people's trees.

7:28PM EST   Oct 30th, 2009 — by Harrison Bradlow
Hi all. Does anybody know how (or if) one comes back from extinct status? Thanks!

9:59PM EST   Oct 17th, 2009 — by Peter Doyle
Hooray! Welcome back.

Hey, Harrison, long time no chat. How's life? ANd when a new snippet comin' out'cha?

2:34AM EST   Mar 12th, 2009 — by Shane Danisher
Hey! Sorry I wasn't around when you were submitting to my Tree. I had a long hiatus myself. still dunno if i'm going to be around all too much. Just wanted to say thanks for submitting to my tree, and I really like what you put down. Very believable!!! Shane.

Yea! Welcome back. ~kat

Thanks for the update. :)

7:49PM EST   Feb 22nd, 2009 — by Harrison Bradlow
Hi everybody. Thanks for all the MM and the concerns. Everything's good with me! No need to worry there. I moved recently, and with all the chaos associated with that, I've spent little time on the site. I'm still around though, and hopefully I'll be checking in here more often. Thanks again!

10:00PM EST   Feb 11th, 2009 — by kathy Higgs
Sure hope everything is okay with you. Been awhile since we heard from you. ~Kat

10:23PM EST   Feb 1st, 2009 — by Justin
I sorta miss you on the Stranger snippets. I added to all of the ones you, Chris, and I were working on. It seems I got a muse back. Hah! I'd like to work on those a little more. I enjoyed that a while back.

8:01PM EST   Jan 3rd, 2009 — by kathy Higgs
Miss you on the Replicators. I liked where that story was headed. Any plans to write more there?

3:03PM EST   Jan 2nd, 2009 — by Thedeus(rorschach) Constantine
i just became a member on this site and i thought your snippet was awesome

1:29PM EST   Dec 29th, 2008 — by Michael LeBlanc
Hey, man, saw you haven't been on a few days, and hoping that everything's okay. Just found the time to get on myself, what with all the holiday bluster and chest racking cough I developed while traveling. Come grace the newest tree when you get a chance. -Michael

10:30AM EST   Dec 29th, 2008 — by Nina Zito
Harrison, apologies for just now getting to answer your monkey mail. It seems you have gotten everything sorted out already though. If you need to please don't hesitate to email me directly (nina@seedypumpkins.com) and I can try to help in a more timely manner. Hope you are having a great holiday season!

1:04AM EST   Dec 27th, 2008 — by Bright Yellow
Thanks for the encouragement Harrison. I reckon you've hit the nail on the head, the best writing does come from what you know. I will certainly keep that in mind when I plant my tree. So far I have resisted combining history with my fiction writing but this site is teaching me maybe that might not be a bad idea. On a different note, I have to smile as these holidays, which I hope went really well for you, has made me realise that you are actually in our yesterday as most of our Boxing Day would have been much of your Christmas Day. Just a thought. Anyway I hope 2009 works out really well for you. Yellow.

3:11PM EST   Dec 24th, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Best wishes now, and in 2009! :)

12:17PM EST   Dec 23rd, 2008 — by Michael LeBlanc
Three weeks a seed? Yeah, okay, I guess I am chugging long. Just recently I started consecutively posting, and I'm glad to push the story and give more chance to offshoot. Also trying to bring two of my friends in. This place needs more monkeys!

3:39AM EST   Dec 23rd, 2008 — by Michael LeBlanc
So here I am, already sitting at 25% of a seed, just thinking of a great tree. Only six days in and it feels like it's taking forever! How long have you been doing this?

6:16PM EST   Dec 22nd, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Hey hey, sheesh you've been busy haven't you? ANOTHER story???? AWESOME! (I wanted to do a Christmassy themed story but couldn't think of anything. Congrats, and again, merry Christmas (or whatever you like to celebrate around this time) ;D

4:43PM EST   Dec 22nd, 2008 — by Bright Yellow
Hi Harrison, just dropping by to thank you for your monkey mail. I am looking forward to the day I am able to plant a tree. I'm hoping it's different, I'm just unsure whether it will be liked or not. Yellow.

6:58PM EST   Dec 21st, 2008 — by Dameon Osborn
I will agree with a few of the others here, Stranger is fun to expand. elizabeth however, there be alot of long words there, and we be not but humble pirates!

6:00PM EST   Dec 20th, 2008 — by ElizabethP
I have written an essay about how the cognition of a piece of writing is like that of a piece of art in that it comes in an epiphany from the heart and the mind only confuses it as Krishnamurti also maintained. It is so important to get those original ideas down before they are lost as you say Harrison.

9:54AM EST   Dec 19th, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
Harrison~ Come climb my tree! It's 'The Stranger Within' ~kat

1:31PM EST   Dec 18th, 2008 — by Michael LeBlanc
Sir, I love your Stranger comes a knocking... I've already added three to it, each in a different universe! It's like literary potluck!

5:35AM EST   Dec 18th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Meh, I had to think of something, but it's now done ;D Merry Christmas ~waves~

11:08PM EST   Dec 17th, 2008 — by Shane
I used to be an addict. You passed me because I took a vacation and I've fallen out of touch since then.

12:03AM EST   Dec 17th, 2008 — by Shane
You better be proud. It used to be mine. Hehe, no hard feelings though. :)

6:51PM EST   Dec 16th, 2008 — by Emma
Hey Harrison! I really like the new tree! Just wanted to say congrats. =]

12:46AM EST   Dec 16th, 2008 — by Pablo Vilas
Thanks for the welcome! I couldn't resist such a great set-up; I'm glad you liked it.

7:03PM EST   Dec 15th, 2008 — by Shane
Well, I believe you hold the unofficial title of getting the most percentage in the least amount of time right after joining. Congratulations!

6:08PM EST   Dec 15th, 2008 — by Bright Yellow
Thanks Harrison. Your comments could never be too long, I'm used to writng and reading thousands of words in one session. I think our comments may be getting a bit hefty for the poor old comment box though. I just tried to add another comment but it wouldn't let me. I'll try to condense that bit and add it soon. By the way I'm enjoying your comments too. Yellow.

3:40PM EST   Dec 14th, 2008 — by Mikoto Yokoshima
Thanks for the comment, I really like your tree Harrison-san. XD

2:21PM EST   Dec 14th, 2008 — by Chris Sadler
Back at ya, Harrison. Good luck with the new Tree.

7:08PM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by Dameon Osborn
We can hope it will be easier to keep our internet this time. Everything progesses too far to keep track of

7:06PM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ElizabethP
When you get a creative idea it's a shame not to write it down isn't it? I tried to add you to my favourites but I couldn't figure out how my saturnian friend. Happy scribbling.

5:28PM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
Another seed! Guess I'm not the only addict. Congrats! Can't wait to see where you plant us. ~kat

12:24PM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
oooooohhhh, congratulations! again ;D

11:47AM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
ooooohhhh, ma tree DOES have a trunk! Coolness. Ta, for the congrats ;) ~waves~

10:37AM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Well, can't wait either way ;D

9:39AM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Yeah, is good to be back (it's Christmas, you see, lots of running around to do). Actually...no, I haven't thought of any new ideas. How about you? Got anything planned for a third tree? Looks like you'll have to think of something pretty soon, 96% and all ;D

6:09AM EST   Dec 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
OOOHHH, can't wait to get back into that one ;D

2:18AM EST   Dec 11th, 2008 — by Lupine Complex
Wow, I feel like I haven't seen this site in forever. Thank you for the Thanksgiving message btw, even though I completely ditched everyone for a long time. Schoolwork got in the way. :/ Wow, lots of things have happened while I was away. Glad to see how far your stories have come!

8:58AM EST   Dec 8th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Yay! I found it, and it was hilarious ;D tanx for pointing it out, Harrison

8:23AM EST   Dec 8th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Your new tree is sooooooo HUGE now, you'll have to tell me exactly where Blue's snippet is (or at least which limb it's up), so that I can have a stick beak, I'm curious now ;D

8:29PM EST   Dec 6th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Hey, nah, I haven't read Blue's snippet...I'm sure I'll get to it eventually. Why, was it awesome????? I like reading awesome things ;D ~waves~

7:34PM EST   Dec 5th, 2008 — by Emma
Now you flatter me! Thanks all the same!

7:30AM EST   Dec 5th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
oooooohhhhh...I forgot to tell you, I abosolutely LOVE what you're doing with Loquo-motion especially that HBO snippet it had me in raptures (that's not a exaggeration). ~waves~

8:59PM EST   Dec 4th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Hey Harrison, you're tree is causing a real stir! It's great. Congrats :) And, btw: ~nods~ yup Christmas definitely is a huge spectacle down here ;D Just like everywhere else. ~waves~

6:09PM EST   Dec 4th, 2008 — by Emma
Hahaha, well I really like both! I hope to try to get on here a bit more, but with the busy holiday season who's to say how that will work.. =/ And you really are a big shot due to the fact you went up 9 percent in like two days! WOW is all I got to say =] 'tis quite impressive.

2:22PM EST   Dec 3rd, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
nevermind, I obviously found it. Loving it! ~kat

8:42PM EST   Dec 2nd, 2008 — by Reed Davis
Congrats on your new tree.

5:34PM EST   Dec 2nd, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
How do I find your new tree? ~kat

4:53PM EST   Dec 2nd, 2008 — by Emma
Aww, thanks! Now that you have 2 trees, aren't you quite the big shot... =] Yes, Thanksgiving is a really nice holiday, but as much as I love my family, I'm glad to be back in my own space. Also, sorry aboout the double post on your monkey mail. =[

7:10PM EST   Dec 1st, 2008 — by Emma
oo That sounds lovely! I really like the new tree! There are so many possiblities... =]

5:17AM EST   Nov 27th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
YAY!! Woot woot! ~happy dance ensues~ ;D Thanks so much for your congrats, Harrison, but you're crazy if you think I'm not waiting until you get back, and you have your 100% before I plant my tree 'D ~waves~

12:47PM EST   Nov 26th, 2008 — by Chris Sadler
Dear Harrison, thank you for your warm holiday wishes. I hope yours goes splendidly as well. (P.S. Don't eat too much!)

12:21PM EST   Nov 26th, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
Harrison, the replicators is becoming a lot of fun. I think you've gotten me addicted. ~kat

11:39AM EST   Nov 26th, 2008 — by Kole
Wow! Thanks! It's good to see you're excelling in the site--I haven't been around much, if you can tell. Makes me feel good to see people still care--Thank again. :) With that said, I now wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! ~Kole

6:54AM EST   Nov 26th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Have a good holiday, Harrison :) (Being of a more Australian persuasion, I don't actually do the thanksgiving thing ;D) I agree with Blue, bring on the tree!

1:37AM EST   Nov 26th, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Harrison! I look forward to seeing you back, as you possibly plant a new seed, again soon... :)

9:36AM EST   Nov 25th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Yeah, it is a shame it's so mini. I'm glad you like it though.

6:52AM EST   Nov 25th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Hey hey. Okay, lotta mail to catch up on ;D Tanx for tha congrats on the alpha. My new pic says 'it's a pre-emptive strike: one lot thought the other lot were going insane so they decided to beat them to it and go insane first...' more Leunig: not very impressive in the littleness, but all good. And VERY exciting, but I don't think you could possibly be more excited than I am. Can't wait for ma tree - and can't wait to see what you come up with as well. (I have once again changed my idea; it will prob morph into something else in the time it takes to get ma last 10%). ~waves~

9:57AM EST   Nov 24th, 2008 — by kathy Higgs
I'm still learning to navigate the sight. I wanted to compliment you on the last snippet for Replicators, but it wouldn't let me post there. Everytime I signed in it bounced me back to some other snippet. Anyway, talk about Crichton! You really worked in a lot of medical/science info in a very believeable way that is still readble by lay readers. Awesome! ~Kat

12:26AM EST   Nov 23rd, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Hah...! Harrison, your most recent mms really made me smile. Believe me, I don't set bars; I just limbo to the best of my ability! :D

10:54AM EST   Nov 22nd, 2008 — by Fullmoonblue
Thanks for the note! It took me forever (okay, only weeks) to think up a decent idea, but I finally bit the bullet yesterday. And you're closing in on another seed too, I see... Any plans?

8:56PM EST   Nov 21st, 2008 — by ICEE PI
yeah, it's been an interesting week. I won't bore you with details, but the race is DEFINITELY back on ;D

7:51PM EST   Nov 21st, 2008 — by ICEE PI
ooh, 84% by my count. But I will catch you ;D

10:23PM EST   Nov 14th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Dude, if you're familiar with writing then it should be a breeze ;D

7:28PM EST   Nov 14th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Hey hey, after much thought, I wanted to do a play. But have decided against it ;D But my new idea is even better - still encapsulates the theatre thing ~waves~

6:19PM EST   Nov 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Ta, dude, I'll check tha book out for sure. And ~sad~ I have to rethink my tree - I had a title and everything, but it's already been done. Serves me right for jumping ahead without checking what is already out there ;D

5:04PM EST   Nov 12th, 2008 — by Bright Yellow
Hi, I agree. You don't learn anything when you live in a bubble thinking your stuffs good when its not. Yellow.

7:52AM EST   Nov 12th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Yeah, suggest away Harrison, I'm always up for new and interesting reads. Hah! about the race, not quite sure how that happened, but cool though, although I'm sure you'll catch up. You're all experienced and stuff at this, whereas I'm not ;D ~waves~

4:16AM EST   Nov 12th, 2008 — by Bright Yellow
Hi,I'm glad you like my name/picture combo. Yellow is definately my favourite colour! I think I will enjoy writing on this site. Not only will it let me learn some more about my own style but its going to be great seeing what others think about it too. I don't mind criticism one way or the other. I reckon its all a learning curve and the more criticism the better. Yellow.

1:50PM EST   Nov 11th, 2008 — by Jackie Mariez
Thanks for that. You just made my day. ^_^

8:57PM EST   Nov 10th, 2008 — by Emma
hahah thanks Harrison!

12:53AM EST   Nov 10th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Actually no, I haven't read anything else by him. Seen alot of the docos he does though. He's about as close to a hero for me as you can get. I'm just into his philosophy, and love the way he wriggles into the minds of the religious to get a clear answer out of them - but it never happens. (soz, if you do the religious thing. I know, I'm going STRAIGHT TO HELL!!! what do I care? I'll be dead) ;D

9:30PM EST   Nov 7th, 2008 — by ICEE PI
Ok, something you should know about me (in fact I probably should put it on my bio) I get crazy when I write. Last night...was just so surprising that the thing got ANY rating...hope it was you that rated it so that this apology don't look stupid ;D ~waves~

10:24AM EST   Nov 6th, 2008 — by ICEE PI

`laughs~ I know this may sound mean, but I can't remember which comment your are talking about ;D It was most likely on one of my all-night escapades on here (my bad, nothing against you). But yeah, I have read your stuff and really enjoy it. You have a vividness that comes through in your narrative, very intelligently I might add, you make the reader (me, duh ;D) feel like they are actually a part of the story, breaking through that arch (prosineum or something ;D), the fourth wall, anyway. Tanx for tha welcome Eliza (ICEE) ~waves~

I am really enjoying 'The Replicators' it has a Crichton-esque feel to it, and I can't wait to read more! I love it when authors blend fact into a new world, it is always so believable then. Anyway, I'll be checking back to see your new snippets!

Pfft, patience is a virtue, young 'un! To tell you the truth, I've no idea. My plot bunneh isn't all-encompassing because my mind is incapable of working that way. So I will have to wing it, which I WILL do. Once I figure out how it will happen.
