Introduction: Won-dee-ful

Crash
Five kids are stuck with finishing up their community service hours
last minute. The only community service project left is picking up
trash along their city's polluted river. What happens when you take an
introvert, a snob, a jock, a bully, and a nerd, and stick them
together picking up someone's old beer bottles and plastic bags?

Essentially, we have Tara, environmental introvert. Then we meet Chelsea, the popular snob. Her boyfriend Matt is never far, attempting to pull some athletic stunt, and Robbie is always picking on Samuel, a genius with technology but horrible with people. To go on their senior trip, they must finish community service. But with the fluffy jobs like managing a booth at the Spring Carnival taken, these kids are stuck fishing through mucky piles of sludge on their city's river. None of them want it. All want out. But this might not be as simple as putting trash in bags...

We should try to stay away from the Breakfast Club model, but this is a really good idea for a seed. Embarrassing, demeaning, or otherwise compromising situations can break down social walls and make them treat each other more like equals.

This is going to be a very fun story. I expect it to go many different places. You've done a fabulous job.

I'm joining in kinda late ...about two months too late, but I'm totally going to start grafting. This is an awesome story and could use some juice! Oh - it also helps that I just finished community service,.. and guess where I cleaned up? Along the river! I'll be writing based off REAL experience! =)

The funny thing is, I'm doing this exact thing tomorrow. Going to clean the city river for community service. Woot! (not.)
