It Looks Good...

'I don't care, Frank.'

'You gotta. This is probably the last chance we'll get.'

'I don't care, Frank.'

'Seriously. I want to see the cities, the mountains. I want to see the country side, do something I've never done before in my worn-out life. Do it for me.'

Peer pressure does not cease as you get older. Just ask Frank Hopkins. His war-veteran buddy Alan wanted to go on a bike ride across the nation. To make matters worse, they were both nearing seniority.

And thus it began on an old tandem bike.

Oops! I made it public. Oh, well...I hope for the best, just as any tree-planter would. Do your best! Have fun! And always remember...Follow through with your dreams. In the true spirit of One Million Monkeys Typing, Go Forth! Surprise and astound me. And Good Luck! There's nothing that could help a couple old men would appreciate more. :)

Great beginning! You are really setting up the stage for some really neat turns to come from this! I'm looking forward to see how it leads...

Oops! I just noticed my mistake. That line should have been 'Just ask Alan Hopkins'. Man! But what can you do, you know?

I would highly suggest Three Men on the Bummel by Jerome K. Jerome. It has a similar premise, and it is absolutely hilarious.

Great Idea.

It would be interesting if the one rider on the back of the bike was blind. Then the tandem makes a lot of sense. Otherwise, pack a lot of deoderant! If anyone has a blind character, help me find it. I am new and a bit confused yet.

Awesome idea! I'm looking forward to writing on it.
